No matter where you live in this region - you are never more than 180 km from the ocean! Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and part of Quebec are in the Atlantic Region. Notice something that is missing? Usually when we say "Newfoundland" we are used to saying "Newfoundland and Labrador" - Labrador is connected to the mainland, is actually a part of the Canadian Sheild Region, NOT the Atlantic Region. |
